More dumb shit people say

A woman I work with is somewhat of a bully and a fascinating exhibit of what passive aggressiveness looks like personified.
Today in North Vancouver it is snowing quite significantly.  I have an approximate 8 minute walk to work and, because I do wear light make up and I have medium length curly hair which is problematic at the best of times, I walked to work with an umbrella.
Fixed myself some coffee, read lots of terrible news on Jezebel, and then my coworker walked in.  She was sopping wet.  Her short hair was plastered to her head, water was dripping off her nose, and her coat was laden with snow.  She had something in her hand which at first I thought was an umbrella, but when I did a double take I saw it was actually her purse and I said "Oh!  You forgot your umbrella!" to which she replied "I'm a prairie girl: I don't need an umbrella".
As she said this she was walking into the main area of the office from which my umbrella, folded up and leaning against my desk, would have been highly visible.  So, true to form she then proceeds to say "I would be so embarrassed to use an umbrella".
No really.
Rilly.
So I say "I used my umbrella today", sort of calling her out on her shit and her response was "Yes, but you're not a prairie girl".
Okay.
I'm also a girl whose makeup isn't running, whose hair is dry, and who didn't have to change out of damp clothing, so yay for being an urbanite?
But really, what to expect from a woman, one of whose duties is to answer the phone, who literally stood next it while it rang this morning (because she was too wet and cold to pick it up, I suppose) until I was essentially forced to answer it.
Happy Friday!
