Day Eight: Back to Collingwood

Dorset's lookout tower.
Checked out of Huntsville today and went to Dorset to see the lookout tower there.  It was a bit of a climb up, but definitely had some good views.
From there we went to the Minden Wild Water Reserve which was apparently used in the 2015 Pan Am Games.  I thought we might see some crazy kayakers going down some rapids but it was pretty tame where we were.
Afterwards we visited "the best general store in Canada", Robinson's, and it was actually pretty good.  We both bought overpriced t-shirts.  Mine says "Lake of Bays" on it and it's slightly too large because they didn't have anything in a child's size.  Ha ha.
We decided to take some back roads to get back to Collingwood and my GPS suggested a concession road that started okay and rapidly descended into a total joke.  It was just wide enough for one car and it was deeply rutted to the point where we had to drive sort of partially off the road not to bottom out.  It was nuts and a little anxious-making, but we made it.
Main drag still closed for Elvis Fest cleanup.
Before checking in to our hotel, we stopped at Blue Mountain which is Toronto's ski area.  It is done by Intrawest and it looked so much like Whistler that Michael and I basically knew our way around without having ever been there.  It was such a blatant rip off that all we could do was laugh.
We checked into the Mariner Motor Hotel because it was cheap and available.  When I booked it I read that it had been designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.  Being architecture buffs we of course immediately researched this and of the two buildings he did build in Canada, this isn't on that list.  We've been Googling it like crazy and can't find anything to support the claim that Wright built or designed this, though it does fit the area and is a very good Wright rip-off.  It's like someone once made the claim that Wright designed it, and it just got repeated over and over until it became accepted.
Went to Sunset Point to check out the beach there which nice, but nothing like we'd seen earlier in our trip.  Checked out a local pub for dinner and overheard people still talking about Elvis Fest.  I guess it just wrapped up today!?
Walking back to our hotel we passed by some tents where a performance was going on and caught the last few lyrics of "Burning Ring of Fire" before "Pretty Woman" started.  The impersonators sounded really good and we walked slowly by, enjoying it.
Did Frank do this?
Then I saw a middle aged woman and her friend come out of the fenced off area and walk quickly down the sidewalk on the other side of the street from us.  She kept on holding her butt.  And then she got to a wooded area, grabbing her butt some more and then dropped trou.  I was like "that lady is pooping".  Her friend was a trooper: she kind of shielded her pooping friend from traffic since it was on a somewhat busy road.  But like, what?
Now we are watching one of the Sharknado movies and Michael is laughing like crazy.  It's hilarious.
