Still not dead, still.

Yeah.  So the new year is upon us.  What to talk about, what to talk about.
Still waiting to find out if Michael's office will be relocating.  It's like one of those flow charts when it comes to figuring out what the hell we are going to do.  If his office relocates: will it be an easy commute?  If no, then: will he be able to work from home?  If yes, great, if no: will we consider moving closer to his office?  And on and on it goes.  I guess there is no sense in worrying about it until it actually happens.
My work is much the same except that the gentleman that the foundation is named after is in "dire" health and I am not sure how much longer he will be with us.  His family, it would seem, is intent on wresting the massive wealth for themselves, so with the organizations funds tied up I can see that I might be out of a job in the next six months or two years.  Again: no sense in worrying about it until it happens.
In other news, my brother has purchased property near Parksville on Vancouver Island and he and his family will be moving over there.  I am sad that they will be further away, but I am happy that they are getting a cool property that generates income, and I hope he and his family will be happy there.  I think that my mom eventually will move to the Island as well, and Michael and I are considering where we might like to end up as the cost of living in Vancouver continues to surpass the absurd and is now hovering around borderline insane.
Am taking a two week break from alcohol which is long overdue.  Today is day six.  Got out and enjoyed a nice ten mile walk in the sunshine with a friend of mine.  It's nice not to wake up with a hangover on the weekend.  Go figure.
Well, that's roughly it.  Kind of pooped after today's walk so I think I might just call it a night.  I am supposed to run a 10k at race pace tomorrow, so we'll see how that plays out without me sweating out the previous night's copious amounts of Chardonnay.
Happy New Year!
Oh, also, I upgraded to Windows 10 and it is filling me with rage.

  1. Good idea to not worry about it until it happens. I stressed over the last 4-5 months for nothing. It did give me something to put in the blog.
