Hang on, horseshoe

The road to Boston has certainly been a bumpy one this year (the photo here I took in Boston in '09: it was painted on a step on a random staircase and was so tiny that I almost missed it, and so great that I had to get down and capture it).
Both Michael and I got injured: I was unable to come back from my injury.
Both of us bought new shoes as we do for each clinic, and we both got a pair that were defective in different ways.  What are the odds of that?
Of the people from the clinic that are scheduled to go: one was on antibiotics for pneumonia as of a week or two ago; one has a stress fracture, and can't run it; another was ill for a while and missed some of the long runs, but is going to run it anyways; and I've got that nagging overuse injury (which is nagging because I haven't stopped running, naturally).
Today Michael had the day off so did some errands and went for a bike ride with a friend.  As he was packing he noticed that he couldn't find his wallet.  We looked and looked for it - isn't it funny how you check the same jacket five times as though it might somehow magically appear there? - but it wasn't to be found.  Our flight leaves at 7am tomorrow.
So there we were, questioning does Michael get back on his bike and re-trace his route to try and find the wallet?  The coffee shop he was at said they didn't have it.  Now we're looking at cancelling credit cards plus the only ID he has at this point is his passport.  High stress.
We found the wallet.  It had fallen out when he came back from his bike ride and changed out of his clothes and started rummaging through clothing to start to pack.
As his friend pointed out: today's Friday the 13th.
Additionally a bunch of Air Canada pilots called in sick today, mainly affecting flights from Toronto to the US.  Hey, guess who we're flying with and guess where we change planes?
At this point I'm just praying that we get to Boston at some point tomorrow, with proper identification and - hopefully - together.
Yes.
We have quite the dream vacation planned here.
Dear horseshoe: please make our dreams materialize.
