And I'm ready to suffer and I'm ready to hope

It's stupid, how you look for little signs.  And yet little signs are often the precursor to something else, at least in my experience.
I'll knock on wood now, and not finish the rest of this thought process, replete with examples.
Here are the positive harbingers:
  • I heard "What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding" on the radio today, which is doubly cool because: a) Bill Murray sings it in my fave movie ever - Lost in Translation; and b) Elvis Costello sang it to us live and in person on Tuesday
  • I heard "She Walks in So Many Ways" by the Jayhawks on the radio today, which is awesome because Michael and I had a magical night seeing them at the Jericho Folk Festival, and then months later at the Commodore
  • The light was shining through the clouds in a very beautiful way on my drive home from work yesterday
  • The light was, again, beautiful and warm against a dark and roiling sky as I ran this evening
  • Tonight's run culminated with a rainbow: and it wasn't even raining
  • I almost hugged a cherry tree
So.  Tomorrow.  Lots of good signs.  Happy thoughts.
Come on, horseshoe.
