Don't let the sun set on an argument

Balance is good.  I don't want to go overboard on the negativity so I will just mention a few positives that have recently occurred that should not have gone unnoticed.
I came in to work today and there was a print out on my chair and it had a pictures of a woman running - with great form - and the caption "how I feel when I am running", and then a picture of a spastic little kid running with the caption "what I think I probably look like".  It was good for a laugh and it was from the woman that I did the Whistler relay race with.
Another coworker brought in these ridiculous cookies that had mini Reese's cups baked into them. Like, I don't know.  Jesus Christ. I had one and stole one for Michael and they were so bloody good that Michael said he would understand if the one I took for him doesn't actually make it to him.
Traffic wasn't as horrific as I thought it would be going home, and I got the gym to myself again tonight.  God I love that.
Also: recently I have taken to just sampling random music from my entire play list and (primarily thanks to Maria in Japanland) I have a lot of great stuff that I haven't even fully enjoyed yet.  And yes, I will repay you once this whole relationship turmoil/envelope phobia/fruit fly invasion runs its course.
Mostly I'm just fearful about converting my MP4s to MP3s.
I also need to convert my regular tires to snow tires.
And learn how to convert water to wine since the fruit flies are drinking most of it, currently.

  1. Damn, fruit flies irritate the shit out of me. Sometimes I leave a little wine in the glass so that they can drink themselves into oblivion. But lately they haven't been drowning in the wine and end up flying out when I move the glass. I think they must be using straws. I'm going to make some little mesh wine glass covers, you want a set?

  2. Yeah, where do they come from, those fruit flies!
I'm sorry for not replying to your email yet, too. I can blog but behind the scenes I'm a shipwreck. You have to larf.
I don't think that second batch of music I sent you is that good. I'm listening to it on the way to school and it's weird and I'm not digging it, so I apologise for that.

  3. Yes, Jomamma! Are you knitting them?

Maria: I love love love the music you've sent me. Seriously - what you have sent me has been with me through some very heavy times and I have appreciated it so much. I will reciprocate soon and I only hope that it is half as good as the variety that you've sent me. :)

  4. I don't think they make yarn that fine, I'm going to use a synthetic netting (when I find it) and then I'll crochet a little edge with beads or something on it to help weight it down so that it drapes over the glass. What colorway would you like? I had to throw out my wine last night because of those little fackers.
