Avoidance

Last night I got kinda baked and ended up watching an inordinate amount of "Come Dine with Me" which (given that I don't really watch television) was kind of odd.
I will interject that, prior to spending close to two hours immobile on the couch I: went for a 60k bike ride; went grocery shopping; folded laundry; made lunches; made dinner; vacuumed; and dusted.
So the thing that has come to the forefront for me of late is the issue of avoidance. If I can not be "in the now" from Tuesday to Friday night each week?  It's fantastic.
Maybe I'm looking at things all wrong, and quite possibly my life was irreparably damaged when I read "An Unconscious Civilization" and "The Razor's Edge", but fuck me: I am bored.
This impending year.
This will be a good year.
It can't not be.
It has to be.
