Last post of the day, seriously.
Given what occurred after our race in Boston, we weren't able to meet up with our fellow clinic members for a post race dinner.
Even though we were gone for two weeks, everyone waited for Michael and I to come back and today we had a post race brunch in Lynn Valley.
Everyone was there save one woman (who, ironically, I did get to see on the course when she bloody well passed me).
It was so nice to see everyone's smiling faces and to get a couple of good hugs from my fellow runners.
After the bombs went off in Boston we were all trying to contact each other and our families to make sure everyone was okay, and that was our last interaction with everyone. It was somewhat therapeutic to be able to discuss what unfurled on that Monday and to share our collective experiences of the run, and what happened afterwards.
I run with an amazing group of people who have been nothing but supportive and encouraging of me in the four or five years that I've been with NSA.
Today was good. It was a shared experience and it was a step closer to closure.
