LensCrafters FAIL

Here is the response I received from LensCrafters.  Holy crap customer service, Batman!

Hello T-,
Thank you for contacting LensCrafters with your feedback.
I’m sorry to hear that you’re unhappy with our pricing. There are many reasons why we are convinced that our value exceeds our price.
LensCrafters ’s expertise, quality and service guarantees are among the best in the optical industry.
We limit our frame selection to those that will offer durability, comfort, and lasting finishes.
We only purchase quality lenses, ensuring they are void of flaws or blemishes. (Even a small imperfection can potentially distort your vision.)
We offer each customer a satisfaction guarantee and free adjustments and fittings are provided for as long as you own your eyeglasses.
I am confident that one of our knowledgeable store associates can build an excellent pair of glasses that will meet your needs using a frame and lens choice that is right for you.
I sincerely hope you will give us the chance to serve you, despite your initial reaction to our pricing, If I can be of any further assistance please email or call 1-877-753-6727 option 6.

  1. Here in the States they carry two styles of wire rim, aviator glasses. 247 Cliffhouse in gold or black run $247 a pair. 253 Sand Island runs $329. Let me know if you want me to get some for you....

  2. Thanks, Judith. You're so thoughtful! :)

I did end up getting the sunglasses from another store (that offered me $50 off as I am a returning customer). So the frames were $299, but it's the prescription lenses that are killer (I mean, I guess it's all expensive and kind of a scam as I think they just ratchet the price of glasses up to the max that they think healthcare providers are willing to pay... god forbid if you don't have extended medical coverage!!) and they came in at $350 less the $50 discount.

I am going to take SUCH GOOD CARE OF THEM. Thanks again for the offer. I'm buying running shoes when I'm in the states next month. They're about half the price there as well...

    1. When they start ratcheting the price up that's when the hubby pulls out his wallet and says "what's the cash price..." Even our Doctor will offer a cash price.

  3. I like how Erica never clearly addresses the actual issues you experienced in the store. No clarification on the so-called sale, no real apology for the lack-lustre customer service, and nothing to offer except a scripted response that is utterly meaningless sales drivel.

This was a total failure of a response.

    1. I know, right? Such drivel, that pat answer. Who knew getting a new pair of sunglasses was going to be such an emotional roller coaster, LOL.

    2. Really, Erica was hired for her ability to talk in endless circles. She's good, but not that good. We can see bullshit when it's being flung in our direction.
