Horseshoe... and beyond

A few years ago my life imploded.
We'll leave it at that.
At the point where there seemed to be a glimmer of hope that I might be able to get back what once I had so utterly destroyed, I created a new blog (the one you are currently reading).
As is often the case for my blog titles and blog posts - it was lyrically based.  When I heard this song by Elbow I was totally enraptured.
And when I saw today on FB that they would actually be coming to North America (Portland, LA and Vancouver) during the week that Michael and I were getting married, I could NOT believe it.
I mean there's fate, and there's the horseshoe.
So: I have two tickets to see Elbow, in Vancouver on the Friday that Michael and I return from getting married in Portland.
I can't even make this up.
I am SO EXCITED.
But really: the band (whose song I named my blog after back in the day) is coming to Vancouver when Michael and I are returning from our honeymoon?
My mind is still reeling.
Must now to bed.
Tomorrow is looking like a beautiful day.

  1. OMG, it's like stars lining up! That's crazy! It makes me smile when I think about it. I also wonder how you walk with that horseshoe....
