Yeah.... so I got nothin'

Went for a job interview on Monday.  It was for about half of what I was making per hour at the job I'm on sabbatical from.  And it was only for 2 or 3 days a week.  I still didn't get it.  It's increasingly looking like I will be returning to my old job come July.
Good times.
Attempted some "girl" push ups with proper form today.  Wow: tragic.  I'm not sure what I was doing before, but it was lame.  Then I went to the bench press?  Yeah: could only bench the first plate.  I cannot tell you how pissed off I am about this.  I have a lot of work to do, and I will do it.  Stupid runner's body.
Tuesday we went to the monthly Brewmaster's dinner at Craft Beer Market in Olympic Village.  It was. So. Good.  There was so much food, and so much beer, and the people and the staff and the music and the ambiance were pitch perfect.  It's my favourite place, currently.  It opened in November, and I have now been five times.  I kid you not: I am starting to recognize the waitresses.  I don't care: everything on the North Shore is substandard to this pub.
If you live in Vancouver, and you like good food and music and beer and stellar service, all at a reasonable price, I strongly suggest checking Craft Beer Market out.  It is so good that I actually emailed their marketing person to inform them about the Salt-esque building in Shipbuilder's Square here in North Van that is just sitting empty (it was supposed to house the Maritime Museum which is currently in Kits).
So yeah.  Yadda yadda strata stuff, yadda yadda book club, yadda yadda impending wedding and people's incredulous expressions when we tell them our plans, yadda yadda housewife.
I have not been this sedentary since I was in high school.
I don't know if that's good or bad.

  1. Why don't you see if the Craft Beer Market needs your services as an accountant..... Sedentary is so bad, I think I mentioned to you long ago to never stop working out. It's SO hard to start back up, I speak from experience. I used to bench 95lbs, I weighed 98lbs. Now I would be lucky if I could get the empty bar off my chest and don't ask what I weigh.

  2. Ha!! I actually am working out five or six days a week. I'm sedentary in that I'm not doing much more than that. I hear you on the work out front: never give up!
God, if I could score a job with Craft I would be in heaven, LOL.
And don't ask what I weigh, either! ;)
