Hot Shots (or being an extra in Vancouver in December)

This past weekend was great (with the exception of a very persistent attempt to nail jello to a wall).  We got together with some friends at a local pub and one of them bought me "99 Shades of Play" for my birthday, which is a book of 99 crossword puzzles because he knows that there can be a lot of down time on movie sets.
Interesting note: I suck at crossword puzzles.  20 Across: Made Ready to Dominate.  12 letters starting with "S".  The answer? Secured Bonds.  And here I thought that was an accounting term.
The next night, Michael and I went to my mom's and were joined by there by Jay and the wee baby Declan.  Jay essentially dropped his son off in order to buy bullets (not even kidding) before the store closed and basically Declan cried the whole time because of Stranger Danger and Poopy Pants, but I was able to figure out he was also hungry.
He's still the cutest baby in the world, even though I can't prove it because I forgot my camera.  Next week!
Spent a couple of nights cat sitting our beloved Felix and caught up with Big D and my good friend Leila, in addition to getting a very flat and dry run around the Vancouver seawall.  Oh, blessed flatness, how I love thee.
Starting to step up to my Secretary Treasurer duties with the Strata here.  How did I get roped into this again?  Gaaaaah.  Actually, the people that are showing me the ropes are super, super nice and patient people and are just happy that someone else has stepped up to the plate.  As one does: one steps up to the plate.  Cough, jello to a wall.
And, after my brother and I had a rather ferocious argument about gift giving at Christmas, I have relented somewhat and have embraced his concept of a "consumable" Christmas, i.e. give things that you know other people would like to eat.  I can subscribe to that.
And eat we did last night.  Michael bought me some chocolate covered ginger for my birthday.  We both had a couple of pieces before we went to bed last night and neither of banked more than a couple hour's of sleep.  I didn't realize he had bought me cocaine injected ginger chocolates.  It was ridiculous.
And made more so by the fact that I was to be on set at 8am this morning.  Thankfully this time it was in Gastown, so it was an easy commute (and the coffee was free-flowing).  Unfortunately, like the last shoot I was on, it was so incredibly cold even though I prepared with running tights under my jeans and a long sleeved Merino wool shirt under my two other shirts (and jacket): we were playing summer.  By the end of the shoot I was laden with Hot Shots (like last time), except this time the lead actor of the movie gave a couple to me and the extra that I was shooting a cafe scene with.
Winner in my books!
I know we're not allowed to talk to the actors, but I said thank you nonetheless.  Now I am thinking about selling it on eBay.
Is that wrong?
