I knew when we got to Brussels and asked the SAS airline baggage check guy if we would be checked all the way through that we wouldn't, in fact, be checked all the way through.
Nonetheless, we're in Berlin which is so far, super awesome. Our hotel is epic and the guy checking us in was so cool. We are so SO lucky to be travelling through countries that are so accommodating with their English: it's ridiculous.
Anyways, at the Circus Hotel, Hugo was manning the desk and hooked us up with some freebie toothbrushes and toothpaste because he feels sorry for us: yay!
Then we walked down the block in search of like, clean underwear and, um, food but we found a random jazz club and so we went in immediately even though we hadn't eaten in six hours and we had no luggage (except, of course, now we have toothbrushes).
I'm not sure what more to say except that so far? The people in Berlin have been awesome from helping us with tracking down our luggage to checking in to advising us to come back to the jazz club tomorrow night because it's a jam night.
I really, really, really need to be more helpful to every person that I see unfurl a map in Vancouver because in all my travels everywhere people have been so kind to me and I so need to repay that kindness.
