One of the things we did do today, was figure out what our post-Boston plans were. Last year we took Amtrak down to New York for six nights and that was probably one of the best trips we've ever had. Man, I love New York.
You ready for our impending April 2013 itinerary? We've decided that, after the race, we're going to go back to New York for three nights. After that, we're going to get back on the train and check out Philadelphia for another three nights and - because this party just doesn't stop - we're going to continue on to Washington, D.C. for the last leg of our trip before heading home.
How cool is that?
I'm exceptionally excited about Philadelphia, and not only because my dad bought me a pin once and one of the things that dangled from it was a tiny replica of the iconic Robert Indiana Love sculpture. I have been looking at pictures of Philly on the Frommers site and it looks just beautiful.

We're still contemplating this leg of the trip. I mean, the election is coming up and what if - horror of horrors - Romney gets in? What if he finds out that for a short period of time in 2009 I was on EI and so I'm one of the 47%? Ah well, at least we could go and watch him parade his Lippanzers around on the Front Lawn.
In other news, I'm reading Better Living Through Plastic Explosives and it's fantastic. Atwood meets Coupland with lots of big words and mind bending ideas, all unfurling in my own fair city. Loving this book.
