The highlights

Aside from one day of rain, Penticton was glorious.  We slept and ate very well and the humming birds and quail were abundant.
On our drive up we saw a black bear by the side of the highway which was the closest I'd ever come to a bear (bears terrify me).  The river was flowing and turbid and we learned that there was some flooding in some lower lying areas once we arrived.
I'd say the highlight of our trip was the winery tour/lunch we had.  We stopped at Tinhorn Creek, Road 13 and then at Burrowing Owl where we had an absolutely gourmet and amazing lunch with spectacular views.  We even had creme brulee which is my favourite dessert ever and it was ridiculously good.
I am so tubby right now but I don't care.
Then we had a nice drive along the lake back, followed by a barbeque for dinner and another perplexingly terrible movie - Unknown - and then to bed.
Back in town this evening.
Jebus I do enjoy not working and travelling around, as though I had unlimited funds, with Michael.
Best.  Life.  Ever.
