I'm a drinker with a running problem

Headed up to Whistler right after work on Friday with my coworker and a couple of her running partners.  I was rather half-hearted about it as Michael and I had been spending so much time together and neither of us particularly wanted to be apart, but he had to work on Saturday night as it was and so I told myself that part of being in a relationship is missing someone when you can't be near them.
Then I poured myself a scotch and soda and told myself to man up.
Just kidding.
It was wine.
Anyways, we did a spot of grocery shopping, exchanged some hoodies for the right size and then continued on to Pemberton.
Funny Pemberton story: Michael wanted to go to Pemberton once as we were leaving Whistler but I got all cranky because it was hot and my car didn't have A/C and it was low on gas and I didn't know how far down the road Pemberton actually was.  Plus it was in the opposite direction from home.
For future: Pemberton is 30km past Whistler.  They have a Petrocan.
Check into the Pemberton Valley Lodge and it was beautiful.  One of the runners owns a couple of rooms there and so we were able to get a good deal on our stay.  Unfortunately this did mean sharing a bed, but because my horseshoe is still - amazingly - in tact, I got my own room which I really ought to have declined but I didn't because I really, really wanted my own room.
People get into the hot tub.  We're all drinking.  Jen (who had the first 12k leg at 8am the next morning) was concerned about the time (it was around 10pm at that point).  Poor girl.  She kept on reminding us we had to be up at 6am in the morning and we responded by drinking more.
We met this interesting brother and sister from New Zealand that had essentially been travelling the world.  They were super cool and very interested in our impending race and had some pretty funny stories which I have promptly forgotten, but they were enjoying Canada because Canada is rather awesome.
I hit the sack around 12.30am and 6am came too early.
