I've posted this before, but I felt it needed reposting. It's funny, because when you "Google JP Morgan NYPD donation", not a lot comes up. A lot comes up about all the homeless thieves that are illegally squatting in parks across the country and how many of them suffer from mental illness and they're violent, but not much is said about how one of the corporations that caused a global economic meltdown donated almost $5 million to the New York Police Department.
And I know it's easy to be an arm-chair preacher, but I do work for a union and I bank with a credit union and, by and large, I have opted out of (cough) "main stream" media and I've stopped buying stuff and I don't keep my mouth shut in order to make nice with people as evidenced by a rather short conversation that I had with a trader in my gym today.
Stay strong, Oakland.
I think I'll get an old pressure cooker and a bunch of pint mason jars and start putting my money in them and bury the whole lot under the chicken coop like my old uncle did back in the depression days of the early 1900's. Who can you trust if you can't trust a banker.... Come to think of it, have we ever been able to trust a banker?
ReplyDeleteSo glad I pulled out of the Stock Market when I did. So glad we don't have $$ in a 401K either.
Bankers? Economists? Shoot 'em all.
